Ah, I love it when these Korean mobile phone makers name their mobile phones. I mean, for those of you who don't know, Samsung's Genio line-up is dubbed as "Corby" in other parts of the world and we have seen mobiles such as CorbyPro, CorbyTXT, etc, etc.
Now, LG is doing the same thing with their LG Cookie. We will soon see variants of the LG Cookie such as the LG Cookie Plus and the the LG Cookie Fresh, both coming in Europe this March. Now isn't the name just--"kooky?".
The first generation LG Cookie is the first cheap touchscreen mobile phone in the market, of course, they were quickly overshadowed by Samsung who bombarded the market with the Tocco Lite and then the Genio Touch, Genio QWERTY, Genio Slide, etc. It seems LG wants to reclaim their cheap touchscreen dominance with the introduction of the LG Cookie Plus and LG Cookie Fresh.
The LG Cookie Plus (LG GS500) has enhanced social networking features. LG's new Livesquare application, a peer management app lets you keep up with your closest contacts. This phone also has a 3 megapixel camera, 3.5mm jack, push email, and bluetooth.
The LG Cookie Fresh (LG GS290) on the other hand has a 2 megapixel camera, 3.5mm jack, push email, fm radio, and comes in--a whopping 10 different colors!! Wow, that's more than my eyeshadow make-up kit.
