Samsung has recently launched the Samsung D780 mobile in Korea. The Samsung D780 supports two simcards so users won’t have to carry separate phones. Here’s a quick look at the Samsung D780.

Design

The Samsung D780 is a stylish candy-bar phone with a 2.1 inch LCD display. This phone sports a premium dark silver and mirror silver color which screams: subtle but stylish. The speakers, however, are not subtly hidden. As can be seen from the pictures, it is located at the bottom of the phone, complete with the standard mesh you can see from speaker systems.

Features

The Samsung D780 may appeal to music fans as it supports Bluetooth A2DP profile and has FM radio. Camera on the Samsung D780 is 2 megapixels with CMOS sensors. It also supports Mobile Printing via BPP and PictBridge plus sports a microSD slot. The downer is the Samsung D780 is only a Triband phone and does not support 3G.

Availability

The Samsung D780 will be available first in Russia this May and in Southeast Asia, Europe, and Middle East afterwards.

I just bought this phn a week ago and so far it performs very well! I'm glad of having it as a replacement to 2 of my previous phn (motorola V3XX & motorola L6). The stylish looks is so WoW! and the features will not let you down..! Eventhough it is not 3G phn(not like Motorola V3XX)but i'm so proud of having it. The speaker is not as loud as Nokia xpressmusic but can say, somewhere there! The most interesting part, both lines are working so good at the same time and well managed(by the system). The security system of the phn is as good as Motorola...infact better since you can list the unwanted caller in the Reject List or block the number from sending unwanted sms to your phn(very secured for those commited guy who having...another affairs..hehehe..)And the FM radio is so clear either using the provided stereo earpiece or phn speaker itself. The battery? Well, not bad at all..! And also it come with a CD (to install PC Suite)and with that you can edit any songs/picture to be used in your phn as a ringtone or what so ever..Ok guys, thats all i can say about this D-780 infact lot more to tell but i think enough for me to say that i'm SATISFIED..!

I bought the phone set a month back.
I do a lot of SMS. And also like to record conversation.

I found few problems doing these.

    1) There is no button or character to press and go to the next line while writing an SMS.

    2) It's quite clumsy if I have to write numbers or symbles and come back to normal text.

    3) In a long SMS, if I want to delete one or two lines and press the cancel button, then the whole SMS is being deleted instantly, instead of deleting slowly from the last end.

    4) I can record conversation while talking from the SIM 1 very easily, but there is option to record while talking from the
    SIM 2.

    5) It's very slow while searching number from the phone book and SIM numbers together.

    6) Switching off and on button should be separate. Or a little bit longer press switches off the phone.
