Playstation Phone available next year?

Well, after all the rumors it seems that the Playstation Phone is all but confirmed. Engadget has pictures of the actual mobile phone and it looks SWEET.

The Playstation Phone won't run Sony Ericsson's own UI but instead, will rely on Android 3.0 platform. Rumored specifications include: 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 processor, 512MB RAM, 1GB ROM, 3.7-4.1 inch screen, and a slide-out Playstation pad with a multitouch center.

Sadly, there's no word if the Playstation Phone can run games compatible with the PSP Go, it is said that Sony will have a separate marketplace for games and that the games sold here can be compatible with other Android 3.0 mobile phones provided that they have the same hardware keys.

Engadget says that this mobile phone may come as early as the Holidays but knowing Sony, 2011 will probably be more realistic.

So, are you excited? I know I am.

    It's a good idea it would be better if it had a umd slot like the psp but I'm a iPhone user and I don't think I'm going to change to a android user I'm a tech geek so iv played and used Alot of phones and did not like Alot of android phones I think il stick with my IPhone and also to make the phone with a qwerty slide out with the game keybored would be sick

    I think this year they will launch new phone with psp games compatible. Cross fingers!
