If news of a new iPhone are being spread by the blogosphere, naturally, the news is brushed off as rumours. But if a major newspaper such as the Wall Street Journal says that a new iPhone is coming, then the rumours become confirmation.
According to Wall Street Journal, the new iPhone is going to be thinner and faster. While according to Engadget, the new iPhone will likely be named iPhone HD, will have a front facing camera, and will be announced around June 22. The iPhone 4G which most of us thought would be the new iPhone is probably referring to the CDMA version of the iPhone which according to the same article from Wall Street Journal, will be made for Verizon and will likely start production around September.
So, if you want to be on top of your social circle and you're thinking of getting the iPhone 3GS--stop! Wait until June and if June passes without any word from Apple then you're safe that the 3GS will still be the latest from Apple but if you can't wait, then you'll most likely get an outdated phone come June while your friends will all be touting new iPhones.
