The Wellness Navigator: A mobile phone that can spot bad breath

Here’s a mobile phone that dentists in Leicester would probably recommend to their clients: a cell phone that can spot bad breath. Yep, mobile phone manufacturers think of EVERYTHING. So what’s next on the menu, the kitchen sink?

The mobile phone manufactured by a Japanese company called Mitsubishi is only a prototype but according to reports, it has a built-in bad breath meter that will alert you if you’re in dire need of a mint. The mobile phone is aptly called the Wellness Navigator and aside from telling you that your breath stinks, it also has a pedometer, a pulse meter, body-fat analyzer, and can also help you keep track of your caloric intake.

The Wellness Navigator has a sensor that detects sulfides and ranks the user's breath on a scale of 1 to 10 though the accuracy of this nifty little device is highly doubted by some dentists Southampton. I mean, it would probably take years before a mobile phone could replace an accurate halitosis meter.

It's pretty insane what the Japanese are doing these days with their technology! I can't wait to see what else is produced in the future... but with a lot of things, will they actually be for the best?
