Okay, so I’ve already mentioned that the Nokia X6 is available on contract with the 4 major UK Networks: Orange, O2, 3 and T-Mobile. So, you decided that you want this phone, and you don’t have any loyalty whatsoever with the networks and all you want is to get the best mobile contract deals for the Nokia X6. Well, here’s a comparison of all the Nokia X6 deals from the UK mobile carriers which offer the X6 on contract. I haven’t had a chance to check out other retailers though so if you find a cheaper deal, let me know so I can add it.
Cheapest and shortest contract deals
If you really don’t care about free minutes or text because either you’re just flexible with what is given to you or because you rarely use your monthly contract, then go for the lowest tariff at the shortest contract term. Here’s a table showing the lowest monthly cost, the total cost you have to pay for the phone plus any free text, minutes and any extras the mobile phone networks are willing to throw in.
Network | Contract Terms | Phone Cost | Monthly Tariff | Free Minutes | Free Text | Extras | TOTAL COST |
O2 | 18 | £50 | £15 | 50 | Unlimited | £320
Orange | 12 | £49.99 | £28 | 200 | 300 | £385.99
T-Mobile | 18 | £128 | £15 | 100 | 100 | Free Flexible Booster | £398 |
Three | 18 | £199.99 | £15 | 75 | Unlimited | £469.99 |
O2’s 18 month, £15 mobile contract for the Nokia X6 has the cheapest total cost for the duration of the contract and is best for avid texters as they offer unlimited text. 3 also offers unlimited text and may be a good option for those who want unlimited text but more free minutes to other networks. Orange offers the shortest contract with 12 month so if 6 months more is like a lifetime for you then go with Orange, they also offer the most free minutes to other networks. T-mobile offers the best bang for the buck because of the included Flexible Booster plan which allows you to choose unlimited text, unlimited T-Mobile to T-Mobile calls, unlimited Internet or Unlimited landline. You can change your choice every month depending on your needs so you can have unlimited text this month or unlimited internet the next.
Best plans that offer the Nokia X6 for free
If you don’t want to cough up any dough for the phone and you want it for free. Here’s a comparison of the mobile phone deals that offers the Nokia X6 for free at the lowest monthly tariff.
Network | Contract Terms | Phone Cost | Monthly Tariff | Free Minutes | Free Text | Extras | TOTAL COST |
O2 | 18 | Free | £20 | 100 | Unlimited | £360
O2 | 18 | Free | £30 | 300 | Unlimited | Choose your Bolt On | £540 |
T-Mobile | 24 | Free | £25 | 300 | 300 | Unlimited Internet with Flexible Booster | £600 |
Three | 24 | Free | £25 | 500 | Unlimited | Unlimited Internet | £600 |
Orange Dolphin | 24 | Free | £25 | 600 | Unlimited | £600
Orange Raccoon | 24 | Free | £25 | 600 | 500 | Unlimited call to UK landline | £600 |
O2 offers the lowest monthly tariff wherein you can get the Nokia X6 for free. At £20 a month, they also offer the shortest contract term plus unlimited text would certainly make texters happy. For £10 more, not only will you get unlimited text but unlimited internet as well (if you choose it as your bolt on). O2 certainly has the lowest total cost because they can offer the X6 for free on 18 months. If you’re more of a talker, Orange offers the highest free minutes plus unlimited calls to UK landline on their Orange Raccoon. 3’s tariff would appeal to a person who’s a texter, talker and a web surfer too because they offer unlimited text, internet and 500 free minutes. But when you get down to it, again, it’s T-Mobile who offers the best bang for the buck because aside from offering unlimited internet, their plan still includes Flexible booster so you can choose between unlimited text, unlimited landline or other flexible booster offers.
Most Free Minutes for lowest monthly tariff
Network | Contract Terms | Phone Cost | Monthly Tariff | Free Minutes | Free Text | Extras | TOTAL COST |
O2 | 18 | Free | £60 | Unlimited | Unlimited | Choose your Bolt on | £1080 |
Orange | 24 | Free | £35 | 1200 | 500 | Unlimited Landline | £840 |
Three | 18 | Free | £42 | 1100 | 1100* | *1100 is allocated as free minutes or text | £756 |
T-Mobile | 24 | Free | £35 | 1200 | 500 | Flexible Booster | £840 |
Three offers the lowest total cost for an allocation of 1100 minutes per month but this is under their mix and match plan which means the 1100 is allocated as either free minutes or text. O2 definitely offers the most minutes being unlimited but this is subject to their fair usage policy which means it has a cap. Orange offers the best deals for talkers because they offer 1200 free minutes plus unlimited anytime calls to UK landlines under their Raccoon plan. T-Mobile also offers 1200 free minutes at the same monthly tariff and you can also get unlimited landline because of their Flexible booster which you can change per month to either unlimited text or unlimited internet, or other flexible booster offers.
Lowest monthly tariff with unlimited text offers
Network | Contract Terms | Phone Cost | Monthly Tariff | Free Minutes | Free Text | Extras | TOTAL COST |
O2 | 24 | £50 | £10 | 50 | Unlimited | £290
T-Mobile | 24 | £128 | £10 | 100 | 100 | Unlimited Text with Free Flexible Booster | £368 |
Three | 18 | £199.99 | £15 | 75 | Unlimited | £469.99
Orange | 24 | £49.99 | £20 | 400 | Unlimited | £480 |
For those who don’t care about using their Nokia X6 to make calls and just want to text away on their X6, O2 definitely offers the best deal plus the lowest total cost. In fact, the total cost for O2 on their £10 tariff for 24 months is lower than the Nokia X6’s unlocked price by £9, definitely the best value for texters. T-Mobile offers the most Flexibility with their Flexible Booster and 3 offers the shortest contract term for texters. Orange offers the most minutes with unlimited text plans.
Conclusion
So there it is: the best deals for the Nokia X6 on the four mobile carriers. Oh, the Orange prices I’ve quoted are their online price which means it’s £5 less than when you go to the Orange shop. Whether you’re a texter, talkers or a web surfer or a combination of the three, I’m sure you can find the right mobile contract for you. If you enjoyed this post Subscribe to our feed
