HTC Desire delay: Is there or isn't there?

There seems to be a conflict on whether or not the HTC Desire will ship by the 1st of April. T-Mobile, who has already offered the HTC Desire on mobile contract on their website, says that there is no delay and they in fact, have already shipped some of the handsets.

On the other end of the spectrum, mobile retailers such as Clove.co.uk and Handtec.co.uk says that there is some delay according to HTC UK, and that the HTC Desire is now expected to be avaialble on April 7th.

One user at digitalspy.co.uk has reportedly gotten his HTC Desire from T-Mobile so if this is true, then the delays only affect retailers and not mobile phone companies.Well, that's bad news for those who've pre-ordered their HTC Desire on Amazon and chances are, the delay also affects the HTC Legend. Double bummer.
