From what I've heard, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 can be bought with a mobile phone contract from almost all major wireless carriers and expected date of arrival is around the 1st of April. In Asia, the retail version of the Xperia X10 is already out in stores while in the USA, there's no word yet as to when the X10 will become available.

However, if you're a die-hard Sony Ericsson fanboy in the US and you're itching to import an Xperia X10 from Asia but you're worried that your $700 would just go to waste if you can't really use the 3G band, well, fear not. Someone from howardforums was already able to import one and claims that it's working on T-Mobile 3G at blazing fast speed.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 works on 3G networks with 900/1700/2100 bands. AT&T users will have to wait until the official Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 North American model actually becomes available.
